Cooling pad details:
Cooling pads cool by creating large amounts of surface area exposed to air being drawn into the greenhouse by exhaust fans.
This large surface area allows for quick evaporation.
Two cooling systems, the pad-and-fan, and a fog system, are commonly used in greenhouses. Both make use of the cooling effect resulting from the evaporation of water.
The evaporation process requires heat removed from the air surrounding the evaporating water.
