Rey Pakal ® is a hybrid habanero with a vigorous plant that provides for prolonged, highyielding harvests. The uniform fruits reach maturity at 136 days and are large in size, averaging 1-2 inches (4-5 cm). The mature fruit are a medium-dark red in color, aromatic, and extremely hot with a Scoville rating of 200,000. Fruit are uniform reaching maturity at 160 days. Size averages 4-5cm (1.5-2in) with a typical habanero shape and Scoville units reaching 200,000. Chitam has demonstrated the ability to reach full maturity with exposure to less than optimal heat units, showing a good possibility to produce in temperate climates.
